Welcome to Tokay Stitch 'n Quilt Guild
Our 2016 Opportunity Quilt
"The Queen and her Court"
Tokay Stitch 'n' Quilt Guild is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote quilting through education and fellowship.
We first organized in 1983 and now have more than 80 members.
We encourage those of all ages and all levels of knowledge about stitching and quilting, from beginner to experienced professional, to join our organization. We believe those at any level can teach us something, and it is by sharing what we know about sewing and quilting, that we all learn and promote a common love of these art forms.
Our general meetings consist of a business meeting, a raffle drawing for door prizes and a drawing for the "block of the month" and fabric.
We have refreshments available prior to the meeting and during a short break between the business meeting and program and/or "show and tell". You will find our guild members to be friendly, helpful, and inspirational.
Tokay Stitch 'n' Quilt Guild have a monthly newsletter, The Grapeline, to inform our members about our meetings and other items of interest to quilters and stitchers. The guild has a library of books that members may check out to enjoy at home. Additionally, members can order books for themselves at reduced group rates. [AQS]
In even-numbered years we produce a wonderful quilt show displaying the works of our members. Continually we bring well-known quilt makers to Lodi to lecture and teach workshops. These events are open to the public.
Through our community service programs we make and donate quilts to children. Both St. Joseph's Hospital Neonatal Unit and the San Joaquin County Child Advocacy Council benefit from this program. We also give an annual scholarship.
We invite you to join us! Guild membership is open to all. The annual dues are $20.00. You can also contact us at Tokay Stitch ‘n' Quilt Guild, PO Box 1838, Lodi, CA 95241
